TAPETUM LUCIDUM // Photographs of the traces and rhythms of the Noxubee Wildlife Refuge's flora and fauna

Tapetum Lucidum— Latin for Beautiful Tapestry—refers to the reflective layer of the choroid in the eyes of nocturnal animals, causing them to shine in the dark. These images were created during my ten-day artist residency at the Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge in Northern Mississippi. I spent my time in residence exploring the land,  and utilizing an array of cameras to photograph the traces and rhythms of the refuge's flora and fauna.

Many thanks to Mississippi State University's Fine Art Department, and the incredible support of Friends of Noxubee, a non-profit dedicated to conservation of the refuge's natural resources.
