TRUE DETECTIVE // Time is a flat circle….
I had the pleasure of working as the main prop photographers on HBO’s dreamy and dark first season police investigation series True Detective. My work took me from the swamps to the sound stage while wading through creeks, listening to steam boats in the distance, and arranging prosthetic bodies under Spanish moss.
Most of my images appeared in case files and hung on walls. Depending on the story timeline, I shot film or digital, DSLR or 35 mm. Here are some favorites images critical to the storyline, and a handful of outtakes that never appeared on screen.
